Yes, this is because the screen actually has two parts which are the glass and the digitizer itself that responds to human touch each time it is used. Hence replacing the screen would mean separating the glass from the digitizer which somehow can be described as glued together. and then glue it back. In all, it is best to let professionals handle it.
