• In-store: visit our shop any day and our specialist will restore your Apple device power port. Walk-ins are welcome, 10 AM to 7 PM.
• Mail-in: send your device to our specialist for adept connector restoration through our mail-in repair service.

We Repair iPad Charging Port

A deficient connector can easily be identified when you are struggling to fit a lightning pin. If this happens, you can first try a simple remedy like cleaning it with a toothpick. Our iPad not charging guide lists more checks you can do at home.

If the problem persists it may be due to hardware deficiencies. The moment you come we'll inspect it to determine if it's defective. We'll then start carefully disassembling.

First, the remedy may require swapping the entire unit.

Secondly, the impairment may be due to deficient connecting points and flex cables. This we'll sufficiently solve through adept micro-soldering.

Thirdly, the flaw may be resulting from a defective IC on the logic board. That is board-level work, described on our iPad motherboard repair page.

Finally, the device is assembled and tested to ensure everything is performing optimally.

The rates for rectifying charging connectors vary based on the model and the fault, so they are quoted after diagnostics. Diagnostics cost $75 and count toward the repair if you go ahead.

From our Midwood bench, June–October 2026: 20 iPads came in to our Midwood store: 14 were repaired and handed back, 2 owners declined after the quote, and 4 were still in progress on 6 November. The median bill on a completed iPad repair was $163 (half of the bills fell between $119 and $210), and the median repair took about 1 day.
